Beaches Suzuki School Of Music Admin

Who we are

The Beaches Suzuki School of Music (BSSM) is located in Toronto and has been proudly serving the Beach and surrounding communities since 1994; providing inspiration, encouragement and musicianship to students of all ages. We are dedicated, certified Suzuki professionals delivering the highest quality music education experience possible. We specialize in the Suzuki method of music instruction for violin and piano, offering individual weekly private lessons as well as motivational group classes. Group classes foster children's awareness of the enjoyment of musical interaction. We offer energetic Parent and Toddler classes as well as fun Fiddle classes!

Exciting News!

BSSM students have been invited to perform Christmas Carols as guests of the Taylor Memorial Public Library’s Community Open House, 1440 Kingston Rd. This is a wonderful way for our students to perform and connect with the public! Please mark the 16th of December at 6:30PM!
The students of BSSM have also been invited to perform with the Cathedral Bluffs Symphony Orchestra on December 13/14 at 8PM with Norman Reintamm as Music Director/Conductor and Ines Pagliari as Concert Master. Students who have performed in the past with CBSO found it incredibly thrilling to be on a big stage with a full symphony orchestra!
We are fortunate to have parents who volunteer their time to help with refreshments, set up, and cleaning after our concerts. We greatly need more parent volunteers to help with the preparation and planning of our final concert on Saturday, June 13/14. Please let Ines know how you can help. Thank you!

Message from the Director

Every year we host an Open House/Information and Parent Education Night. Please mark Tuesday, September 9th, 2014 at 6:30 PM in your calendars. The event will take place at Fallingbrook Presbyterian Church, 35 Wood Glen Rd. where all lessons take place. There will be light refreshments and an informative discussion about Dr. Shinichi Suzuki, his method and the tremendous benefits it offers. We will also cover the parental role and why it is crucial! New this year, we are enriching our program to include a parent only group class! I am also happy to announce that we are offering our returning families a token of our appreciation. The BSSM year begins September 8, 2014 for a total of 36 weeks. We encourage interested parents to come and observe our lessons or group classes. With this in mind, we expect that a full year of study be completed once a family has been accepted into our program. Once enrolled, we are offering all students a complimentary group class at the end of the year as a thank you and in celebration of our 20th year. We ask that you carefully read and sign our school policies, as group classes are part of the program and attendance is mandatory. Children whose attendance is below 80% may be asked to sit out of an approaching concert date.

Joyfully Celebrating 20 years!

The Beaches Suzuki School of Music is so proud to have served the community for 20 years! We have had so many families benefiting from the enrichment only music can provide. We began teaching after discovering a method that truly nurtures both child and parent thereby creating a solid child-parent-teacher bond. Adapting our teaching using the Suzuki Method gives us the freedom to impart our knowledge and expertise to young children and adults alike. Using the motto: “Master each small step before moving forward”, allows all of our students the individual time they need to progress at their own pace.
To commemorate our 20 years, we are planning the most exciting concert ever! On Saturday, June 13/15 at 3PM we will feature all of our BSSM students, play-ins from past alumnae, present and past faculty performances and ending with a resounding and heart-warming family favourite: Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. You won’t want to miss this event! The event will be open to family, friends and the community!
